Senior Platform Engineer – DevOps

Cloud Engineering - Ref: 26513, Austria, Graz, Austria - Full Time

Overview 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with a strong fullstack and DevOps background. You will design, build, and operate modern cloud-native applications and the platforms they run on — spanning frontend, backend, infrastructure, and delivery automation. Working primarily on Microsoft Azure, you will own the full lifecycle from feature development through containerized deployment, observability, and governance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build and maintain fullstack applications, with TypeScript frontends (React or Angular) and backend services in Python (preferred) or other modern backend languages. 

  • Design and operate cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and/or Bicep. 

  • Develop and deploy containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes. 

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment. 

  • Work with Microsoft Foundry to deploy, integrate, and operationalize platform and AI capabilities. 

  • Ensure reproducibility, traceability, security, and compliance across the application lifecycle. 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Strong fullstack development skills, with TypeScript (React or Angular) on the frontend and Python (preferred) or another backend language on the server side. 

  • Proven experience delivering production-grade applications and APIs. 

  • Solid DevOps background, including CI/CD implementation and automation. 

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or Bicep. 

  • Solid knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). 

  • Experience deploying and integrating with Microsoft Foundry. 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Container Registry, and Azure Key Vault. 

  • Familiarity with both React and Angular ecosystems. 

  • Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django. 

  • Background in automated testing and deployment for complex applications. 

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tooling for cloud-native platforms.
