About the role 

We are looking for a solid Mid-to-Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. While your primary expertise should be in Java backend development, we’re looking for someone who is open to leveraging other backend technologies, such as Node.js, when the project demands it. 

The ideal candidate has fullstack experience but if you're a strong backend developer without frontend specialization, we'd still love to hear from you. This is a hands-on development role that offers the opportunity to work on high-impact systems in a modern, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services primarily in Java 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features 
  • Be open to using non-Java backend technologies (e.g., Node.js) when appropriate 
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to best practices 
  • Build or integrate with frontend applications using common frameworks (React, Angular, etc.) — if fullstack 
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code 
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance 


Key Requirements 

  • 4+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong focus on Java 
  • Solid understanding of backend architecture, RESTful APIs, and microservices 
  • Willingness and ability to work with other backend stacks (such as Node.js) 
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments 
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git 

Nice to Haves 

  • Fullstack development experience (any modern frontend stack – React, Angular, Vue, etc.) 
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) 
  • German-speaking skills
