- Previous ownership of an observability platform or practice.
- Strong knowledge of metrics, logging, tracing, APM and synthetic monitoring.
- Experience defining observability standards and governance.
- Proven success reducing cloud or observability costs.
- Knowledge of FinOps, consumption reporting and chargeback/showback models.
- Understanding of Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, microservices and OpenTelemetry.
- Production experience covering on-call support, incidents and post-mortems.
Leadership & Strategic Influence
- Able to influence and challenge teams without formal authority.
- Experience driving standards across multiple product teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting and coaching skills.
- Able to communicate clearly with technical and business audiences.
Personal Attributes
- Proactive, independent and accountable.
- Commercially aware and focused on cost efficiency.
- Confident challenging existing practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Support teams in defining reliability objectives.
- Deliver workshops, training and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with global teams within an Agile environment.
- Travel internationally on a quarterly basis when required.
